2013 Week 1 Rankings

Here are my 2 polls along with the new AP poll after the 1st week of results.  As a reminder, my "Preseason" poll is based on a starting point value based on the AP Preseason Poll (including others receiving votes) and the rest of the teams are ranked based on an average from the preseason magazine rankings.  For example, since there are 125 FBS teams this year, the team ranked #1 starts off with 125 points and the other team's point value decreases by 1 point all the way down to the 125th ranked team which has 1 point.  The "Equal" poll is exactly how it's named.  All teams start off at the same level with zero points. Each week the points from that week's game is added to their previous total to get the new total points and then sorted to get the new rankings.  Starting with week 2, I'll add a previous ranking column (similar to the AP poll below) so you can see the movement from week to week.

Another point to my polls is that since it's solely based on performance on the field and is point-based, there is a lot of fluidity from week to week.  For example, if a team has a bye, they will move down that week since they did not get any points.  Since all teams will have a bye week during the season it will all even out.
